Cartographer

Software mapper & user simulation platform

Know your product.
Test before you build.

Walk through your app once. Cartographer builds a complete, navigable map of every screen, action, and workflow — then turns that ground truth into documentation, simulated user sessions, and shareable feedback. When you have a new idea, generate a clickable prototype from your recorded model and let personas and real users try it before you commit engineering time. Fail fast. Ship your MVP with evidence, not assumptions.

Map Every screen & path
Simulate Personas that behave like users
Prototype Try new features before code
Validate Real feedback, early

Build less, learn more

Prototype new features. Test them. Then commit.

You don't need a sprint to find out if an idea works. Describe a feature that isn't built yet — Cartographer generates a clickable prototype grounded in your real screens and navigation. Send it to simulated personas and real testers, collect feedback, iterate the spec, and only then hand it to engineering.

  1. Describe the idea e.g. bulk device import, a new settings flow, a dashboard redesign
  2. Generate a prototype Clickable HTML from your recorded app model — minutes, not weeks
  3. Test before you build Personas react; real users click through; you learn what to ship or kill

From one walkthrough to a living model of your product

Cartographer watches how your software actually works — then gives your whole team a shared, queryable picture of it.

User documentation

Generate getting-started guides, how-tos, FAQs, and onboarding tutorials grounded in what was recorded — with real screenshots, not invented UI.

Simulated personas

Spin up agentic personas — the busy admin, the new hire, the power user — and let them navigate your map. They surface confusion, rate ideas, and tell you what would actually land.

Prototypes before you build

Describe a feature that doesn't exist yet. Cartographer generates a clickable HTML prototype from your recorded model — share a preview link, run persona validation, and gather real-user feedback before a single production commit.

Real user testing

Share test plans and prototype previews with real people. Collect ratings, task completion, and open feedback — on the live app or on something you haven't shipped yet.

Predicted vs. actual

Compare what personas expected with what real testers reported. Close the loop — refine assumptions, fix UX issues, and de-risk your next release.

Fail fast. Learn early. Ship the right MVP.

Most teams guess. Cartographer gives you a tight cycle from discovery to validation — before engineering commits.

“Map what exists today. Prototype what you might build tomorrow. Let personas and real users tell you if it's worth committing — before engineering does.”

Early user testing

Generate task-based test plans from your map. Send a link. Watch where people stall — on production or on a prototype of tomorrow's feature.

Validate before you commit

Prototype undeveloped features, run persona simulations, and send preview links to real testers. Kill weak ideas cheaply and go to engineering with proof, not hunches.

One model, many outputs

Docs, in-app guides, validation reports, shareable previews — all tied to the same recorded knowledge graph. No drift between what you documented and what exists.

Start with the Chrome extension

Recording is the root of everything. The extension captures your session, powers auto-map and in-app guidance, and sends captures to your Cartographer workspace.

Install (developer mode)

  1. Download extension (.zip)
  2. Open chrome://extensions
  3. Enable Developer mode (top right)
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped extension folder
  5. Pin Cartographer to your toolbar
